Edward Cotney

Ed serves as an advisory council member of the Family Office Foundation (FOF). Before moving to this advisory role, Ed served as a board member of FOF.

Ed is the founder and principal at Olympus Tax, Business and Insurance Solutions, Inc. and author of Tax Secrets Made Simple. Ed earned degrees in Physiology and Aviation Management and then served active duty in the US Air Force for twenty years before retiring in 1998 in Northern California. Upon retirement from the Air Force, Ed developed skills as a Family Wealth Counselor, where he learned how to help clients sell multi-million-dollar businesses and other assets using charitable planning tools. This experience has helped Ed develop a deep understanding of charitable foundations and the related tax laws.
